Call for Proposals

PyCascades has been lucky to give our stage to incredible speakers with wonderful talks over the last two years. We are really looking forward to showcasing our community again next year. Our Call for Proposals (CFP) opens today and closes at the end of the day, Tuesday, October 1st, 2019 Anywhere on Earth.

Considering speaking at PyCascades? Great! We're looking forward to reading your proposal!

Never considered speaking at PyCascades? We think you should! We love proposals from:

  • People who've never spoken before (we've got mentors for you)!
  • People new to Python.
  • People who use Python in their spare time.
  • People who want to talk about something that isn't specifically Python.

What gets your excited? What cool art did you build? What's something you wish someone had told you years ago? What interesting problem have you solved recently? Talks can be about anything that someone in the Python community would be interested in hearing about.

If you're interested please take a look at the instructions at https://www.papercall.io/pycascades-2020.

If you need financial assistance to speak or attend PyCascades we will be continuing our opportunity grants program. If you need a grant to speak, please indicate that on your grant form submission.

Call for Organizers

Are you interesting in helping organize PyCascades? We're looking for volunteers to take on the these roles:

  • Financial Aid Chair: Responsible for our opportunity grants program.
  • Volunteer Coordinator: Responsible for finding, organizing, and overseeing volunteers.
  • Communications Chair: Responsible for writing and reviewing all PyCascades communications and maintaining the PyCascades website.
